I was blessed – and how! – for this lifetime having met and been moulded by one of the greatest modern-day masters in Indian Philosophy- Swami Chinmayananda (1916-1993)

HE was – to many – just a globetrotting teacher of Ancient Indian Vedantic Wisdom from the scriptural text called the Bhagawad Gita. Yet, as a monk propogating the message of “Adi Sankara’s Adwaita” philosophy, ( Google it if you like) he went on to use all the money he generated from people to build institutions in their own community, spanning all ages but mainly children across India, America and many other parts of the world!

HE believed modern day education was all about remembering that children were not mere empty vessels to be filled but LAMPS TO BE LIT! He created more than 70 regular schools in India alone and inspired a full fledged University now under this philosophy that children were plants to be nurtured with love and care to grow into ‘independent’ individuals, not living ‘in dependence’!

HE WAS A LIVING INSPIRATION FOR A FEW SURVIVING IN THIS GENERATION – LIKE ME!

HE WAS …. IS …. AND WILL FOREVER BE … AN INSPIRATION AND GUIDING LIGHT FOR PARENTING AND THE “ART OF RIGHT CONTACT” BETWEEN PEOPLE!

Truly, we have been blessed if we have children to love and to make us feel loved!
